The New York Palace marks the completion of its massive 140 million renovations by unveiling The Jewel Suite by Martin Katz and The Champagne Suite. The two specialty triplex suites shout exquisiteness as they have been exclusively designed by renowned American jewelry designer Martin Katz and notable New York-based design firm BBG-BBGM.
The Palace is known for unparalleled splendor, spectacular views, spacious rooms and exquisite service has raised the bar by opening the doors of these two luxurious suites for guests. Both the suites sit atop 53 stories, spread out over 5,000 square foot and come with a $25,000 price tag per night. Martin Katz just unveiled the Jewel Suite by Martin Katz at The Towers at the famed New York Palace Hotel last night. The sheer splendor was marked by the presence of celebrities and VIPs and the noteworthy performances of Grammy Award winning artists David Foster, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and The Tenors.
Soaring over Manhattan, the magnificent Jewel Suite by Martin Katz is adorned in rich fabrics and glittering jewel-inspired tones and finishes to create an atmosphere suggestive of luxury and romance. Well-heeled guests can step on Port Laurent stone floors to walk past diamond-like wall coverings in soothing jewel tones and appreciate the colossal 20-foot ‘diamond waterfall’ chandelier. The bejeweled themed interior teases further with a permanent installation of ‘floating’ crystal jewel boxes encasing distinctive jewelry creations by Martin Katz. A grand piano takes the center stage at the sprawling Grand Parlor. The Master Bedroom on the second floor is decked up to sync with the jewel theme with Art Deco-inspired chairs upholstered in silver and pearl velvet and a custom-designed Lucite tableau showcasing spectacular jewels. The top most level of the suite boasts of one of the few wood burning fireplaces still available in a New York City hotel and also of a private outdoor terrace with spa offering a one-of-a-kind view of the skyline. The uniqueness of the suite extends up to the guest’s finger too as each guest staying at the suite is entitled to receive a $2,500 Martin Katz Diamond Microband Ring.
If commitment is on the cards then love-struck guests can opt for The Ultimate Proposal Package. Starting from $50,000 per night, this package included accommodations in the Jewel Suite by Martin Katz; private consultation with Mr. Katz for the creation of a custom-designed engagement ring and/or wedding band and a customized private dining experience for two on the breathtaking rooftop terrace.
Also a few more luxe-benefits thrown in to win over the guests are – uniquely designed jeweled china, private, express elevators along with expert maître d’étage service, Maybach house car service, en suite kitchens and exquisite Molton Brown bath products. The three-story suite merges romance and abstract elements of nature in a luxurious and luminous setting, but for a premium price of course.
The Champagne Suite was designed by notable New York-based design firm BBG-BBGM, led by Interiors Partner and Principal Designer Amy Jakubowski. The glamorous space is ideal for cozy tête-à-têtes or lavish entertaining. Boasting of floor-to-ceiling windows, rustic wine cave and black and white French wall mural. The sparkling wine-theme flows on to the second floor which is inspired by the distinct colors of champagne varietals to create an intricate color story of soft creams and smoky reds. The décor of the Master Bedroom Suite is influenced by the refreshing Chardonnay grape with a palate of ecru, cream and amber tones. The over-sized outdoor terrace complete with a custom-designed Jacuzzi spa, perfect for sipping champagne while enjoying unobstructed views of the city below.
To toast the completion of the resplendent Champagne Suite, Dom Perignon hosted the suite’s inaugural event on September 9, 2013.
