Spreading over 600 square meters in an awe-inspiring setting in Lago Ranco, Chile, today’s dream home is know as the Ranco House. Having been designed to adorn a site where native trees abound, this amazing residence is made of two volumes interconnected by a bridge dressed in glass next to an existing rock. Imagined by Elton+Leniz Arquitectos Asociados, the unique contemporary home draws inspiration from typical southern barn architecture and adapts to its natural site.
Designed to resemble a tree house in its imposing presence at the site, the home respects its surroundings and welcomes daylight inside through a collection of glazed walls. Revealing the natural surrounding beauty, the Ranco House features wood as the main building material. Dark shingles cover the house’s facade, integrating it in the privileged location. Cozy through the use of rustic details, modern in its architecture and choice of materials, fun and cheerful in the choice of decorations, this secluded dream home features a natural interior showcased under wooden beams.
