Some people already live in their dream house but since life has a fast-changing pace, sometimes you need to adapt and introduce more space to your home. Building an extension of the home like the one constructed by local architect Pedro Lázaro for a home in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, is challenging but definitely worth it. Named Casa Cor, this almost transparent annex provides a cozy environment for living and dining.
Framed by timber paneling on the roof and deck, this small extension features glass walls visually connecting the modernly decorated interiors with the manicured garden it occupies. Rectangular in shape, the contemporary addition was erected out of wood, glass and concrete. Inside, curtains offer the possibility of switching between complete privacy and a light-flooded environment. Modern furniture and art were carefully displayed in order to complement the built structure. Almost surrounded by a timber deck, Casa Cor is a single room addition that elongates indoor comforting spaces and builds a powerful connection to the outdoors.
