Kristen Stewart Unveiled as New Face of Chanel Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection

Actress Kristen Stewart has been named as the new face of Chanel. The ‘Twilight’ star appeared with fellow actress Dakota Fanning at the luxury brand’s star-studded Metiers d’Art Paris-Dallas runway show in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday. Poppy Delevingne, Alexa Chung, Zoë Kravitz, Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour and André Leon Talley also made the trek to Dallas for the high-end hoedown.

Kristen’s advertising campaign will be photographed by Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld and will be released in May, 2014. The 23-year old actress sat front row wearing a Dallas-esque Chanel ensemble including a pair of rodeo-ready leather pants.

Karl’s annual Métiers shows are held in a different locations each year. Past destinations have included castle ruins in Scotland, a pontoon boat on Shanghai’s Huangpu River and Chanel’s 57th Street boutique in New York City. Each city is connected to the story of Chanel’s founder, Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel. Coco visted the city to receive the Neiman Marcus Award for Distinguished Service in the Field of Fashion in 1957.

The show started with a short film called “The Return,” written and directed by Karl and starring Geraldine Chaplin as the iconic founder of the luxury brand. After the film, the audience then changed locations for a runway show filled with Western-inspired fashions. What’s your thoughts on Paris-Dallas? Sounds off below.
