Take a tour of Michael Strahan’s new $17 million Los Angeles Mansion

Live! With Kelly and Michael host (and former NFL all-pro defensive lineman) Michael Strahan has scored a $17 million mansion in Los Angeles. The traditional style estate has 15,600 square feet of living space, including 9-bedrooms and 14-baths.

The home features impressive 20-foot ceilings, French doors, formal dining room, sitting room, butler’s pantry and a chef’s kitchen with separate dining and living areas.

On the lower level there is a state-of-the-art home theater with a 15-foot screen and leather seating for 20 people. You’ll also find a game room with billiards table and poker table.

Other amenities include a home gym complete with attached bathroom and massage table, a walk-in safe/bank vault, and a Prohibition-style wine cellar/drinking lounge. There’s even a private elevator that connects the three levels.

Outside you’ll find a wrap-around stone balcony overlooking the 59-foot swimming pool, a wet bar, BBQ and entertaining pavilion with fireplace.

Strahan is buying the home with Nicole Mitchell Murphy (Eddie Murphy’s ex).

Kristen Stewart Unveiled as New Face of Chanel Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection

Actress Kristen Stewart has been named as the new face of Chanel. The ‘Twilight’ star appeared with fellow actress Dakota Fanning at the luxury brand’s star-studded Metiers d’Art Paris-Dallas runway show in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday. Poppy Delevingne, Alexa Chung, Zoë Kravitz, Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour and André Leon Talley also made the trek to Dallas for the high-end hoedown.

Kristen’s advertising campaign will be photographed by Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld and will be released in May, 2014. The 23-year old actress sat front row wearing a Dallas-esque Chanel ensemble including a pair of rodeo-ready leather pants.

Karl’s annual Métiers shows are held in a different locations each year. Past destinations have included castle ruins in Scotland, a pontoon boat on Shanghai’s Huangpu River and Chanel’s 57th Street boutique in New York City. Each city is connected to the story of Chanel’s founder, Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel. Coco visted the city to receive the Neiman Marcus Award for Distinguished Service in the Field of Fashion in 1957.

The show started with a short film called “The Return,” written and directed by Karl and starring Geraldine Chaplin as the iconic founder of the luxury brand. After the film, the audience then changed locations for a runway show filled with Western-inspired fashions. What’s your thoughts on Paris-Dallas? Sounds off below.

Uma Thurman, Hugh Jackman and More Up For Bid To Benefit Tibet House

Each year Tibet House US hosts a benefit auction at Christies to support the Tibet House US and The Tibetan Community of New York and New Jersey. The auction, this year to be held Monday December 16 at Christie’s New York, always attracts a lot of hight profile donations.

Uma Thurman and her Buddhist scholar father Robert Thurman are available for a lunch date at The Four Seasons if you’ve got the money. Or how about having Hugh Jackman read your voicemail message? There are a variety of event opportunities including the chance to schedule your own in-home performance from Phillip Glass with hors d’oeuvres by chef Eric Ripert or have a walk-on role in the latest David O’ Russell film.

The auction also features exotic trips everywhere from India to Bhutan to Bali. If you prefer something more tangible, there are a variety of artworks up for sale including a painting of the Dalai Lama by Shepard Fairey. The auction also celebrates Tibet, auctioning off antiques and ceremonial objects, Tibetan rugs, sculptures, and other global finds. You can bid ahead of the event through CharityBuzz.com.

Tibet House US serves two purposes: serving as cultural center in New York City and an online global resource for those interested in Tibetan civilization. It helps present Tibet’s traditions to the West through exhibitions, print publications, and media productions. Tibet House is creating a Repatriation Collection for future repatriation of outstanding examples of Tibetan art, creating an archive of rare photographs, opening a research library, creating a website for the wide distribution of information, and providing support to conservation activities both inside and outside of Tibet. The New York center has gallery space, a shrine, lending library and more.
